The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division (PMRD) provides therapeutic rehabilitation services in the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, wellness and health promotion and electrodiagnosis. The aim of PMRD is to develop the fullest physical, social, vocational, avocational, educational and psychological potential of persons with disabilities ranging from neurologic to musculoskeletal conditions and from pediatric to the geriatric age groups. PMRD is also a teaching department, offering internship programs to our affiliated to schools.

Physical Therapy provides programs aiming to maintain, improve and restore functions as well as promote performance and inclusion in the community.

Occupational Therapy builds programs of selected activities conducted at treatment under medical direction which aims to help an individual reach the highest potential for function within his environment.

Wellness and Health Promotion delivers healthcare through individualized exercise program aimed at improving the overall fitness capacity of an individual in terms of aerobic fitness, muscle fitness, flexibility and body composition

Speech Therapy is the assessment and treatment of impairments in swallowing, speech, and language to improve expression, communication and social interactions

Electrodiagnosis is the use of electrology to study the deviation from normal motor unit behavior and the interpretation of its results for disorders of the neuromuscular complex of the motor system.
